BATMAN and Poison Ivy by ChrisSamnee BATMAN and Poison Ivy by ChrisSamnee
I've never made it a secret that I'd kill to work on a Bat title. I absolutely love drawing Batman.
I was lucky enough to handle art chores on a Poison Ivy short story, written by Simon Spurrier, for the Batman 80 Page Giant [link] a while back but I've still got the itch to do more.

Excellent subject suggestion, Declan. :icondeclanshalvey: :D

Here are the pencils for the above sketch: [link]

And be sure to check out all the other great work by my pals at the Comic Twart blog. [link]

this looks like something from the 1990's in one issue of "Shadow of the Bat"

Thanks! Batman has been on my bucket list since... before I'd ever heard the term "bucket list" :P

You work certainly has the tone a Batman title needs. Being able to set the appropriate dark tone and be able to handle the action sequences to make those sorts of stories work doesn't seem natural to everyone that's worked on Batman. I wish you luck with a stint on that title sir.

That YOU know :) Bats is usually what I absentmindedly doodle on scrap paper when I'm on the phone:)
