Gabriel Hardman :iconheathencomics: and Kevin Mellon :iconkevinmellon: have recently taken a crack at inking a sketch of Dracula by the great Gene Colan. After seeing their takes on inking his impressionistic pencils I just couldn't help but try my hand at inking it too. :D

Here's a link to Gabe's: [link]
And here's a link to Mellon's with Colan's pencils as well. [link]

My inks didn't turn out quite like I had expected but it was an interesting exercise just the same.

Very nice, almost looks like Tom Palmer had a hand in this one!

Rad, thanks! I was thinking of Palmer's inks over Colan while I was doin' it. : D

Gene Colans stuff must be both a blessing and a nightmare for an inker. His stuff so open to interpretation that it could be intimidating.Great job.
